An HSA is a personal saving account you can use to pay for qualified out-of-pocket medical expenses with pretax dollars — now or in the future.
Once you have elected to enroll in the HSA through Blue Valley, you’ll receive a debit card to help manage your HSA reimbursements. Your HSA can also be used for your expenses and those of your spouse and dependents, even if they are not covered by the HDHP medical plan.
NOTE: if you already have a UMB HSA account through a prior employer, please contact UMB at (816) 474-4472 if you want to combine your prior assets into your new HSA available through Blue Valley.
Important Update! Effective July 1, 2023, UMB will discontinue charging participants the $2.50 Monthly HSA Service Charge in their FDIC-insured HSA Deposit Accounts. UMB will be communicating this message to accountholders on their next quarterly account statement.
